THOUGHTS: Okay, at first I wasn’t so into f(x) because Krystal’s Jessica’s sister and I really don’t like Sica, so I admit I was a bit biased and didn’t like the song at first listen. I advise you to watch the MV first, because MAN that grabs your attention and it’s actually a really catchy, fun song despite the weird title. Amber is… well, hot. I thought she was a guy. I love Luna and her voice – probably my favourite. Sulli is… cute. Doesn’t sing much. Victoria doesn’t sing much either, even though she’s the leader. KRYSTAL, the maknae, does a lot of the singing, probably ‘cos of her famous big sis. She irritates me, I’m sorry, but I like her way better than Sica. All in all, they all look pretty and seem very professional. Recommended for DL.

Tokio Hotel - Automatisch cover
Recommended: Automatisch
THOUGHTS: Obviously Bill sounds better in German, it being his native tongue, so I think Automatisch sounds better than Automatic (the English version). The said track has a little AutoTune, especially in the beginning, with a nice catchy chorus and a more mellow, almost pop-rock sound. Humanoid is a lot more scream-y, but still sounds good. A lot of Tom’s awesome guitar playing <333 Or perhaps I’m biased because he’s my fave XD.

NOTE: Some people write G-D’s name in capitals, i.e. G-DRAGON, but I use lowercase, i.e. G-Dragon. I don’t know which is the official version so feel free to change/tell me if it’s wrong ^^; Also, please fix Jin Jung’s name into Hangul (as shown below) because I forgot to un-romanise it D:
Recommended: Heartbreaker, Breathe, Korean Dream, Hello
THOUGHTS: Heartbreaker is a polished hip-hop/dance track reminiscent of BB songs, but it was accused of plagiarising the rap from Flo Rida’s “Right Round”. Butterfly, a mellow mid-tempo song, is also being accused of plagiarising Oasis’ “She’s Electric”. Korean Dream is also BB-like, featuring Taeyang’s smooth vocals with a tad of AutoTune and the lyrics “I’m Captain G-Sparrow”. Breathe is in the same style as Korean Dream with the line “you and me hardcore, till you say no more” OMJIYONG♥. Gossip man has G-D showing his love for Gossip Girl (?) with the line “x-o gossip man” LOL. Hello features Dara and annoying as I think she is she sounds pretty good on AutoTune. The Leaders features Teddy (1TYM leader) and CL (2NE1 leader) and it’s something I should like, but just don’t for some reason – but listen for G-D pimping SNSD with “my name is gee gee gee gee baby baby/G-D G-D baby baby”. About a Boy, She’s Gone and Station 1 Year all feel kind of… sad? But good ^^; All in all, an interesting solo debut for G-Dragon… A must DL! Sorry for such a long review XD.

NOTE: Okay, I know I’ve upped this before (link!) but I got my actual hard copy of MY HEAVEN, the CD+DVD edition, a couple of days ago and realised something. For all you guys out there fussy about correct names/titles/whatever, I did not change ANYTHING from when I imported the CD, so all track names and such are the official ones. And in Japan, BB are apparently called BIGBANG, not 빅뱅 in Korean characters. So, you can change the artist names on this and ガラガラ GO!! if you DLed them from here, sorry ^^;

Recommended: HQ MV
THOUGHTS: OMJIYONG G-D TOTALLY WORKS THAT BLOND HAIR. I love the kind of sexy psycho vibe he’s radiating through the MV and dear Lord that guyliner… So hot. AND the heart around his eye. The song is kind of dance/hip-hop, which is ONLY my FAVE genre ever, plus with the fact that it’s G-D, this MV is not to be missed. There is a sample of “Breathe” at the end, from G-Dragon’s solo album “Heartbreaker”, which WILL be up soon~

テゴマス - 七夕祭り cover
Recommended: 七夕祭り, 僕らしく
THOUGHTS: Tanabata Matsuri is kind of cute, upbeat, country pop. At first I was like WTF but it grows on you (^_^)b Bokurashiku is more dance, making it my fave track on this single. Hanamuke is a slower pop ballad which follows the Ai Ai Gasa style, still very sweet. Owaranaide is pop with a touch of rock, featuring guitars and drums.

Recommended: Both the song and MV.
THOUGHTS: The song features Ok Taecyeon of 2PM and OMJIYONG TAEC IS HAWT. His voice is so low and husky and smexy and it totally works with the house style, strong bass and repetitive lyrics. Catchy catchy catchy! In the MV, Taec had awesome fluorescent light streaks coming out of his hands and so did Ji Young but I don’t really care about her. HowEVER, did they paint his nails pink? And I didn’t like the weird purply lipstick on either of them. Reminds me of Uhm Jung Hwa. Whatever. I loved the shades.

THOUGHTS: Er, it’s basically the same as the Japanese version, but with more close-ups of the boys and MORE DRILL!T.O.P <3 so I think it’s awesomer XD. The only bit they changed was making the chorus in Korean. That’s like, 2 lines. I thought it sounded better in Japanese >_>;;

Recommended: Only You (Winter Special)
THOUGHTS: I love love love this song~ It’s basically a remix of the song “Only you” from their album Hottest Time of The Day (which I shall up soon!) and OMFG they sure did a good job. The electronic/synth noises and the bassline work wonders with Junsu and Khun’s voices especially; making a pop-ballad into a dance/electronica number.

NEWS - Happy Birthday (Regular Edition cover)
Recommended: Happy Birthday, ガンガンガンバッテ, Push On!
THOUGHTS: Happy Birthday is a catchy, cheerful song with a cool PV, half real (the boys) and half cartoon (er, everything else). Seemingly everyone except Koyama and Massu has weird pimped hair. Gan Gan Ganbatte is super happy as well, very J-pop. GAME of LOVE is less pop, with a stronger bass, still nice. Push On! is cute and light, like the first two tracks.
