THOUGHTS: Happy Birthday is a catchy, cheerful song with a cool PV, half real (the boys) and half cartoon (er, everything else). Seemingly everyone except Koyama and Massu has weird pimped hair. Gan Gan Ganbatte is super happy as well, very J-pop. GAME of LOVE is less pop, with a stronger bass, still nice. Push On! is cute and light, like the first two tracks.

NEWS - TEPPEN (RE)

Recommended: TEPPEN, Fiesta, TEPPEN PV

THOUGHTS: TEPPEN is a good old J-pop song, and the PV is cute too (: NANDE×2 DAME is kinda weird, but still cheery, with strange rap bits infused with Latino-type rhythms and synth noises. Yume no Kazu Dake is a sweet ballad with a easy-to-sing-along-to chorus, but I like the acapella version on the album “touch” better. Fiesta is just pure win ‘cuz Ryo’s bits are super awesome babyyy. Come on, Massu sings “owaranai yoru” (endless night) XD.

Recommended: チェリッシュ, Party Time, SHOCK ME

THOUGHTS: Cherish might just be my favourite NEWS song of all time. It’s so sweet and has a beautiful melody, plus Ryo sings a lot XD. I kind of wish NEWS would do more R&B songs like this. SHOCK ME is more upbeat and has a rock feel. Devil or Angel was a teeny bit boring for me. Party Time is pop with a cheery chorus (:

NEWS - 恋のABO cover (RE)

Recommended: 恋のABO, OPEN YOUR EYES, Share (LIVE at TOKYO DOME)

THOUGHTS: 恋のABO (Koi no ABO) is catchy and disco-themed. Hilarious. I like OPEN YOUR EYES mainly because Ryo was the first to sing and I’m biased he has a gorgeously smexy voice. Labyrinth is OK, kind of Latin-ish but perhaps a tad forgettable. Share is from their concert at the Tokyo Dome and Ryo sounds even more awesome live it’s a nice, easy-to-listen-to song.
